Burn With Us

I’m 32 years old, married, mother of two girls and trying to complete my dissertation by June. Being in the doctoral program has impacted my life in a number of ways, two of the negatives have been sitting with butt in chair for way too many hours and not being able to write fiction. I can’t do anything about the writing until this big-ass paper is out of the way, but I have tried to keep up on the exercising.

In my spare time I work as an instructional designer for a local university, and I teach on the side. This semester I’m teaching Proofreading and Terminology online for a local community college, and I’m also teaching a course called Teaching Online. I’d like to get back in the classroom, though. As much as I love the online environment, I think that the environment can be more dynamic in the classroom sometimes. It would also be a nice change from sitting at the computer from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. every day.
